Massage Support for People Living with MS

Living with multiple sclerosis brings enough to manage without stubborn muscle tightness and discomfort on top. At Diverse Myotherapy in Pascoe Vale South, we support a number of clients living with MS, working alongside their medical and care teams to help their bodies feel and move a little better between the bigger battles.

Massage and myotherapy are not treatments for MS itself, and we'll never pretend otherwise. What hands-on treatment can offer is support with some of the things that often come with MS, muscle tightness and spasm-related discomfort, general aches from changed movement patterns, and the simple relief of time on the table in experienced hands. We see our role as one supportive piece of a much bigger care picture.

Every session is shaped around how you're travelling that day. That can mean adjusted pressure, supported positioning, shorter sessions when fatigue is high, and a slower pace with plenty of communication. We also understand heat sensitivity, we keep the room comfortable, adapt our approach where heat is a trigger, and we'll honestly steer you away from our sauna if heat isn't your friend. Daytime appointments are available across the week, which many of our MS clients prefer.

We currently support clients funded through MS Plus, and we invoice directly, so there's nothing to pay on the day and nothing for you to chase. The same applies for NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed, we simply invoice your plan manager. Case managers and support coordinators are always welcome to call us directly to discuss a client's needs.

Diverse Myotherapy is on Bell Street, Pascoe Vale South, with 140 five-star Google reviews and seven consecutive Word of Mouth Service Awards. You'll be treated by qualified myotherapists who take the time to understand your situation, not a production line.

For most people living with MS, yes, when it's delivered by a qualified therapist who adapts pressure, positioning and pacing to you. If you're unsure, check with your neurologist or GP first, and we're always happy to work in with their guidance.

Yes. Heat sensitivity is common with MS, so we keep treatment comfortable, avoid heat-based extras where it's a trigger, and adapt on the day based on how you're feeling. Just tell us what your body does with heat and we'll work with it.

Simply, from your side. We invoice MS Plus or your plan manager directly after your treatment, so there's nothing to pay on the day. When you book, just let us know how your supports are funded and we'll handle the rest.

No referral is needed to book with us. If you have a care plan or notes from your medical team that would help us support you better, you're welcome to bring them along.

Whether you book yourself or your support coordinator arranges it, we'll make it easy.
